I've always been curious about what decisions led the Picasa™ team to implement their scrollbars the way they did (you should check it out).
So I implemented a quick version here. My takeaways -
- It's not very good for horizontal lists like this. Users are confused and would rather have a standard scrollbar (ugh). It's tough to get to a specific day here, in other words.
- It works well for Picasa because they have long vertical sheets with nice visual information, and people aren't using it to get to a specific photo.. That being said, I'm pretty sure they're trying to perfect it too.
- I'm sleepy and want Mirinda. Mirinda is the best drink in the world. And I'm not even paid to say that. MMMMMMMmmmmmmirindaaaaa!
